Cardamom Chia Oatmeal

The sweet flavor of cinnamon and carda_x0002_mom infuse the oatmeal with a wonderful aroma. A simple drizzle of tahini and silan (date syrup) enhances the flavors and elevates the oatmeal.
Cardamom Chia Oatmeal:
- 2 cups milk of choice
- ¼ teaspoon cardamom
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- ¼ cup chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon pure silan
- 1 tablespoon pure tahini paste
- Sliced bananas, sesame seeds and chopped nuts, optional
Steps:
- Add milk to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Add cardamom, cinna_x0002_mon and salt, then reduce heat to low.
- Whisk in oats and chia seeds and stir for about 10 minutes, on medium-low heat, until chia seeds plump up and oats are cooked to your liking.
- Ladle oatmeal into a bowl and drizzle with silan, tahini, sliced bananas, sesame seeds and chopped nuts, if desired.
